This young lady’s mother felt that her bite was very crowded and has a family history of having to have permanent teeth removed as they grew. She found that we were able to treat her daughter at an early age, allowing us to expand the width of her upper teeth, correcting the bite problem, while improving the amount of space for her permanent teeth to come in. The essentially untrapped the upper jaw, which is now growing more normally. She is now in a retainer that will hold the room we need until she is done growing. This will allow her to enjoy a straight smile, more symmetric face, and if growth continues normally, she may have a great smile without having permanent teeth removed.
